Resignation of Independent Non-Executive Director - Ms Philisiwe Mthethwa

Ms Philisiwe Mthethwa has resigned as an independent non-executive director from the
Boards of Sanlam Limited & Sanlam Life Insurance Limited with effect from 13 February
2015. Sanlam chairman, Desmond Smith, thanked Philisiwe for the contribution she
has made to the board of directors of Sanlam Limited & Sanlam Life Insurance Limited
since her appointment in 2011. The board wishes her well in her future endeavours.
