Trading Statement

In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty
exists that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the
financial results for the previous corresponding period.

Accordingly, a review of the financial results for the six months ended 31 August 2014 by
management has indicated that the loss per share and headline loss per share are expected to
decrease by more than 50% when compared to those reported for the previous corresponding
period. At this time, Ansys is unable to quantify, with reasonable certainty, the expected headline
loss per share or loss per share for the period. A further trading statement will be published once
the Company has a greater degree of certainty with regards to its financial results for the six
months ended 31 August 2014.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by Ansys’ auditors. The Company’s financial results for the six months ended 31
August 2014 are expected to be released at the end of November 2014.
