Coal of Africa Limited (the “Company”) advises that it was informed on 14 November 2014 that on the 13
and 14 November 2014, Peter Cordin, Non-Executive Director of the Company purchased a total of 500,000
ordinary shares of no par value in the Company at an average price of 0.06 AUD (“Ordinary Shares”) per
share.

The shares are held by Cordin Pty Ltd as trustee of the Cordin Superannuation Fund. Following the share
purchase Peter Cordin is the beneficial owner of 1,371,059 ordinary shares representing 0.105% of the
Companies issued share capital.
