                                 Acid Mine Drainage




The board of directors of Central Rand Gold is pleased to advise
shareholders that on 23 May 2014, the Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority
(“TCTA”) commenced pumping and treatment operations of its High
Density Sludge (“HDS”) Plant. Initially, the HDS Plant will treat
approximately 63 million litres per day, with full capacity of 84
million litres per day, being reached by the end of May 2014. Once
at full capacity, the HDS plant will be able to reduce the water
levels within the Central Basin. With the current water level at
approximately 175 meters below surface level at our mining
operations, the dewatering will give mines such as ours
significantly improved access to deeper mining levels. We look
forward to updating shareholders on the progress being made by TCTA
in due course.
