TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be
reported on will differ by more than 20% from that of the previous corresponding period.

Shareholders are advised that Sherbourne is currently finalising its year end results for the period
ending 31 December 2013. Accordingly Sherbourne is expecting a loss per share of between 0.45
and 0.55 cents and a headline loss per share between 0.45 and 0.55 cents, compared to earnings per
share of 2.91 cents and headline earnings per share of 2.04 cents for the previous corresponding
period.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has been reviewed by
Sherbourne's auditors. Sherbourne's results, which incorporates an update on its suspension, will be
released on SENS shortly.
