DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON IMPERIAL HOLDINGS LIMITED HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES –
(“IPLIHF”)


With reference to the dividend announcement, the directors of Imperial Holdings Limited have declared a dividend
of 400 cents per ordinary share payable on Monday, 31 March 2014, to ordinary shareholders and recorded in the
books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 28 March 2014.

In terms of the new Dividend Tax effective 1 April 2012, the following additional information is disclosed:

1)   local dividend tax rate is 15%;
2)   STC credits utilised is 6,20166 cents per share;
3)   net local dividend amount is 340,93025 cents per share for shareholders liable to pay the new Dividends Tax
     and 400 cents per share for shareholders exempt from paying the new Dividends Tax;
4)   the issued share capital of Imperial Holdings Limited is 209,956,092 ordinary shares;
5)   Imperial Holdings Limited tax reference number 9825178719; and
6)   Investec Bank Limited tax reference number is 9675/053/71/5.


Accordingly, the holders of IPLIHF will receive an Imperial Holdings Limited dividend amount per security on
Monday, 31 March 2014, in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and
Investec Bank Limited. The last day to trade (“cum” the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be
Thursday, 20 March 2014.

IPLIHF Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading “ex” the dividend from the commencement of
business on Monday, 24 March 2014, and the record date will be Friday, 28 March 2014.
