Andile will report directly to Terence Goodlace, Implats’ Chief Executive Officer and will assume responsibility for leading the company’s corporate social investment programmes, environmental matters, risk management, certain relationships with governments and regulatory bodies and sustainability functions. He will serve as a member of the Executive Committee and represent the company on a number of its operational boards. Andile is a seasoned and well respected business executive, who brings to his new role a rich and diverse academic background and corporate experience. Andile previously held board positions at Metropolitan Holdings and Pioneer Foods, and was most recently employed as an Executive Director at Glencore South Africa. In addition to his B Compt Honors Degree (Rhodes and Walter Sisulu University), Andile has also completed an Executive Development Programme at Wits Business School, a Master’s Degree in Business Leadership at UNISA and an Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD.
