                      Transaction in own shares


Blackstar announces that on 18 December 2013 it purchased
500,000 ordinary shares of €0.76 each in the Company (the
"Shares") at a price of £0.66 (R11.10) per share. The purchased
Shares are expected to be held in treasury in accordance with
applicable law.

The Company has a total of 82,088,500 shares in issue and,
following the above purchase, excluding the treasury shares the
issued share capital of the Company will be 80,447,489. The
number of Shares purchased represents 0.61% of the total shares
in issue.

A total    of   1,641,011    treasury   shares   are   now   held   by   the
Company.
