APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTORS


The Board of Directors of AH-Vest is pleased to announce the appointment of Messrs Jacobus
Johannes Du Plooy and Elias Zaahir as Independent Non-Executive Directors of the Company with
effect from 15 October 2013. Both directors will be appointed to serve on the audit committee.
Pursuant to these appointments, Mr Riyaaz Noorbhai will be resigning as a non-executive director with
immediate effect.

Abridged curriculum vitaes of the new directors are set out below:

Zaahir Elias
Zaahir qualified as a CA (SA) with Ernst & Young in February 2002 and is a member of the South
African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Zaahir is also a qualified CIA (Certified Internal
Auditor) and is a full member of The Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa and a member of the
Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA).

In 2002, Zaahir joined BDO Spencer Steward KZN Inc as an Audit Manager until 2004, when he
joined SAB&T (a subsidiary of SAB&T Ubuntu Holdings Limited) to manage the Port Elizabeth office.
He moved to the Gauteng office in February 2005 to manage internal audit and forensic clients. Zaahir
was appointed as an Associate Director in November 2005 and became a Director in March 2006.
From 2008, Zaahir has been with the Omnia Group and currently holds the position of Chief Audit
Executive and Group Director.

Jacobus Johannes Du Plooy
Jacobus is a Chartered Accountant having qualified with ARC Chartered Accountants & Auditors
(“ARC”) in 2008, passing his qualifying exams first time around. He became an audit manager and
remained with ARC until June 2012. Jacobus joined Minaco Group Proprietary Limited in July 2012,
where he holds the position of financial manager.

The AH-Vest Board welcomes the above new directors to the Company and looks forward to working
with them.

The board would like to thank Mr Noorbhai for his valuable services to the Company during his time as
a director.
