TRADING STATEMENT
Alert Steel is in the process of completing the preparation of its
results for the year ended 30 June 2013.
In terms of paragraph 3.4 (b) of the Listings Requirements of the
JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement
as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results
for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20 %
from those of the previous corresponding period.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that:
Despite difficult trading conditions and working capital constraints
the results show an improvement in loss per share (“LPS”) of between
95 cents and 115 cents per share (30 June 2012: LPS of 543.3 cents
per share).
Headline loss per share (“HLPS”) has improved to between 120 cents
to 146 cents per share (30 June 2012: HLPS of 432 cents per share).
Shareholders are advised that the information included in this
announcement has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company’s
auditors.
The Company’s results for the year ended 30 June 2013 are expected
to be released on SENS by 30 September 2013.
