Appointment to the board of directors Miranda Mineral Holdings Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1998/001940/06) Share code: MMH ISIN: ZAE000074019 (“Miranda”) APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS In terms of section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are advised of the appointment of Mr Rudolph de Bruin (“Rudolph”), as a Non-executive director on the Miranda Board, effective 15 August 2013. Rudolph started his career as an advocate at the Pretoria Board in 1979 after obtaining his B.Comm. LL.B from the University of the Free State and Rand Afrikaans University respectively. He specialized in commercial law and remains on the roll of advocates. He entered the business world with a main focus to find, acquire and develop mineral exploration and mining projects in various African countries in 1989. Amongst others, he was a founder member of the Platmin Limited Group (“Platmin”) and co – founder of the Sephaku Holdings Limited Group (“Sephaku”). During his involvement in Platmin and under his leadership, he engineered acquisitions of mineral projects and supervised the entering into of more than 300 agreements with mineral rights holders. With the advent of the new MPRDA in May 2004, he supervised the conversion of Platmin's rights to new order rights and the application for new order prospecting rights. He was also involved in the various fund raisings done by the Group in the United Kingdom and North American markets. By 2006, Platmin had reached maturity and moved into the development of a platinum mine. He was also instrumental in the Group’s listings on the TSX and AIM. After co-founding Sephaku in 2005, he established its flagship projects as well as the companies to which Sephaku was the BEE partner.
