APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS


In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Ansys’ shareholders are
hereby notified of the following appointments, effective from 4 June:

•       Nonhlanhla Mjoli-Mncube as independent non-executive chairman of the Company;
•       Sizakele ‘Siza’ Mzimela as independent non-executive director of the Company, and
•       Teddy Daka as Chief Executive Officer of the Company

Nonhlanhla holds a MSc in Urban and Regional Planning, a Certificate in Technology Management as
well as a Senior Executive Programme Certificate from Harvard University. Starting her career as a town
and regional planner, Nhlanhla has also served as an executive director at a subsidiary of Murray and
Roberts, chairman of NURCHA, Rural Housing Loan Fund, Women for Housing, and Open Society
Institute in South Africa. She has received numerous awards and sits on several listed company boards.

Siza holds a BA in Economics and Statistics. She started her career as Research and Development
Manager at Standard Bank’s Small Business Division in 1991. She joined South African Airways (‘SAA’)
in 1997 as Market Analyst and gained extensive experience in different business units of the airline. Siza
resigned as Chief Executive Officer of SAA in 2012. Siza has received awards for her achievements in
the aviation industry, and held board positions on organizations related to the aviation industry.

Teddy held the position of Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Ansys since June 2012. The
appointments will align the board composition of Ansys with the recommendations of King III, with the
roles of chairman and chief executive officer being separated.

The board welcomes both non-executive directors and is looking forward to a mutually beneficial working
relationship.
