RETIREMENT OF ALTERNATE DIRECTOR

In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
following information is disclosed:

Professor Larry Ring has retired as Alternate Director, from the
Board of Mr Price Group Limited, with effect from 30 March 2013.

Over his 15 years of directorship, Professor Ring contributed
valuable input, especially on international retail trends. In
addition, the retailing principles he had imparted in numerous
training sessions have been a contributing factor in the Group’s
success. The Board wishes him well in his retirement.
