TRADING STATEMENT



In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to
be reported on will differ by more than 20% from that of the previous corresponding period.

Accordingly, a review of the financial results for the six month period ended 31 January 2013 by
management has indicated that the earnings per share and headline earnings per share is
expected to be between 0.57 cents and 1.35 cents, compared to the earnings per share and
headline earnings per share of 3.9 cents for the six month period ended 31 January 2012.

Adjusted earnings per share, which equates to earnings excluding amortisation charges and
unrealised foreign exchange losses on forward exchange contracts and group loans, is expected
to be between 0.31 cents and 0.69 cents compared to the adjusted earnings per share for the
previous corresponding period of 1.9 cents.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed by
SecureData’s auditors. SecureData’s financial results are expected to be released on SENS on or
about 22 March 2013.
