FINAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON EXXARO RESOURCES LIMITED HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES – (“EXXIHB”)


With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Exxaro Resources Limited have declared a final
dividend of 150 cents per ordinary share payable on Monday, 15 April 2013 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in
the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 12 April 2013.

In terms of the new Dividend Tax effective 1 April 2012, the following additional information is disclosed:

1)   local dividend tax rate is 15%,
2)   STC credits utilized is 150 cents per share;
3)   as a result of the STC credits utilized, no withholding tax will be due and all shareholders will receive a
     dividend, regardless of whether they are exempt or not;
4)   the issued share capital of Exxaro Resources Limited is 357,787,785 ordinary shares;
5)   Exxaro Resources Limited tax reference number 9218/098/14/14; and
6)   Investec Bank Limited tax reference number is 9675/053/71/5.

Accordingly, the holders of EXXIHB will receive an Exxaro Resources Limited dividend of 150 cents on Monday,
15 April 2013 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and Investec
Bank Limited. The last day to trade (“cum” the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend is Friday, 5 Aoeil
2013.

EXXIHB Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading “ex” the dividend from the commencement of
business on Monday, 8 April 2013, and the record date will be Friday, 12 April 2013.
