CHANGE TO THE BOARD - APPOINTMENT OF GROUP FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

In compliance with paragraphs 3.59 and 3.84(g) of the Listings Requirements of the
JSE Limited, Protech is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Madubanya
CA (SA) (35) as the company`s Group Financial Director and executive member of
the Protech board (“the Board”) with effect from 1 February 2013.

The appointment of Mr. Madubanya, who has 13 years’ experience in construction
including 5 years in an executive role, will substantially strengthen the financial
capability and competency of the business. Over and above the normal duties of a
Financial Director, Robert’s role in Protech will involve the design and
implementation of new systems and the development of financial policies. Mr.
Madubanya completed his articles at Ernst & Young and has been employed since
then in various financial roles in listed companies.

Protech has also secured the services of Mr. Brian Barrow, a chartered accountant
with in excess of 30 years’ experience as a financial director in the construction
sector, who will be supporting Robert to settle into his new role.

Protech welcomes Mr. Madubanya to the Board and wishes him well in his new role
as the Group Financial Director.
