CHANGE IN CHAIRMAN OF REMUNERATION COMMITTEE OF THE BOARD



In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited (“JSE”), the Board
of Directors of Control Instruments wishes to announce the following changes in its sub-
committees:

Remuneration Committee:

Mr. Peter Surgey takes over from Mr. Stuart Bromfield as Chairman of the Remuneration
Committee with effect from 1 January 2013. Mr. Bromfield will remain a member of the
Remuneration Committee.

Social and Ethics Committee:

Mr. Stuart Bromfield has been appointed as a member of the Social and Ethics Committee with
effect from 1 January 2013. Mr. Surgey remains the Chairman of the Social and Ethics Committee.
