In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited (“JSE”), the Board
of Directors of Control Instruments wishes to announce the resignation of Ms Jean Jeffery as
company secretary to the Company effective 31 December 2012. The board would like to thank
Ms Jeffery for her valued contribution to the Company during her tenure and wishes her well in her
future endeavours.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Sean Graham as company secretary to
the Company with effect from 1 January 2013. Mr Graham is the current Group Risk Manager of
the Company in which role he will also be continuing.
