CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
following information is disclosed:
Zurich today announces the retirement of long-standing Chairman of
the Board, Gerard de Rauville, who has reached the retirement age
of 70. He is succeeded by Dolly Mokgatle, an Independent Non-
Executive Director since 2007 and a member of the Audit and
Remuneration Committees and Chairman of Zurich Life SA (a wholly-
owned subsidiary of Zurich South Africa).
Saad Mered, CEO of Zurich’s Middle East & Africa Region said:
“Gerard has made invaluable contributions in his many roles and
various functions on the Board over the years. The Board and I
would like to thank him for his engagement and commitment during
29 years of dedicated and loyal service to Zurich. We wish Gerard
well in his retirement.”
He added: “Dolly has been with us for five years and is well
placed to take over the leadership role as Chairman in South
Africa. We look forward to her stewardship and ongoing
contributions to the Board.”
