TRP 121: NOTIFICATION OF AN ACQUISITION OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SECURITIES

In terms of section 122 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008(“the
Act”), if a company receives notification from any linked
unitholder that has either acquired or disposed of a beneficial
interest in a sufficient number of linked units in the company such
that, as a result of the acquisition or disposal (as the case may be)
the linked unitholder’s beneficial interest in linked units moves
above or below 5% or any multiple of 5% of the issued linked
units in the company, the acquisition or disposal needs to be
disclosed to linked unitholders.

Accordingly, linked unitholders are advised that Synergy has
received a notice of disclosure of acquisition of securities in terms
of section 122 of the Act, and Regulation 121 of the Companies
Regulations 2011, to the effect that Coronation Asset Management
(Proprietary) Limited on behalf of various clients, has increased its
beneficial interest in SGB securities to 13.58%.
