CSP - Chemspec - Trading statement Chemical Specialities Limited Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa Registration number 2005/039947/06 Share code: CSP ISIN: ZAE000109427 ("Chemspec" or "the Company") TRADING STATEMENT In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to inform shareholders as soon as there is a reasonable degree of certainty that the earnings of the company are likely to vary by more than 20% compared to the previous reporting period. Chemspec wishes to advise shareholders that the company expects an improvement in the company`s loss and headline loss per share for the twelve months ended 31 March 2012 of between 85% and 95% compared to the loss and headline loss per share of 29,12 cents and 27,99 cents respectively reported for the twelve months ended 31 March 2011. The positive improvement is in accordance with the board`s commitment to return the company to business as usual and position it for future growth. The audited results of Chemspec for the twelve months ended 31 March 2012 will be released on SENS on or about 5 June 2012. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
