IMP - Implats - Appointment of Chief Executive Officer Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration No. 1957/001979/06) ISIN: ZAE000083648 JSE Share Code : IMP LSE Share Code : IPLA ADR Code : IMPUY ("Implats" or "the Company") APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Implats is pleased to announce the appointment of Terence Goodlace as Chief Executive Officer and as an Executive Director to the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from 1 July 2012. Terence brings with him extensive mining experience having worked in the mining industry since the late 1970`s when he started his working career as a learner miner. He worked his way up to General Manager at Kinross and Evander Gold Mines obtaining his Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (Metallipherous Mining) in 1988. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wales. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Metorex Limited, a JSE company which was delisted on 16 January 2012 following the successful takeover by the Jinchuan Group Limited. He previously held various senior strategic and operational positions with Gold Fields Limited including membership of their Executive Committee and Head of International and South African operations.
