CAPITAL REDUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE SHF SHARE                     
INSTALMENT                                                                      
Notice is hereby given of the capital reduction amount payable for              
STEINHOFF INTERNATIONAL HLDGS LTD ORDINARY SHARES (SHF) and that as a           
result of the capital reduction declaration relating to STEINHOFF               
INTERNATIONAL HLDGS LTD ORDINARY SHARES (SHF) the Trustees of the SHFNIH        
Share Instalment have declared a capital reduction amount of 65 cents per       
SHFNIH share instalment that is payable on Monday, 05 December 2011.            
The last day to trade cum capital reduction is Friday, 25 November 2011.        
The share instalment will commence trading ex capital reduction from            
Monday, 28 November 2011 and the record date is Friday, 02 December 2011.
