SKW - Skinwell Holdings Limited - Trading update SKINWELL HOLDINGS LIMITED (formerly Placecol Holdings Limited) (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 2003/025374/06) JSE code: SKW ISIN: ZAE000135893 ("Skinwell" or "the group") TRADING UPDATE In accordance with paragraph 3.4 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), a listed company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that the financial results for the next period to be reported on are likely to vary by more than 20% from the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are referred to the trading update released on the Securities Exchange News Service of the JSE on 2 August 2011 and are hereby advised that the company`s earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the 6 months ended 31 August 2011 is expected to be 0.50 cents per share compared to the loss per share and a headline loss per share of 0.1 cents reported in the previous corresponding period. The increase in both EPS and HEPS can be attributed to the restored profitability, gained from the increased performance achieved by the franchised beauty salons and ongoing measures to control the overheads of the group. The profitability of the franchised outlets was improved through the introduction of new standardised service offerings and the launch of new innovative products. The financial information on which this trading update is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s independent auditors.
