AVI - AVI Limited - Appointment of Non-Executive Directors AVI Limited (Registration number 1944/017201/06) Share Code: AVI ISIN: ZAE000049433 ("AVI") APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS The Board of Directors of AVI is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Neo Dongwana and Mr Barry Smith to the Board as independent non-executive directors. Their appointment is with effect from 15 March 2011. Mrs Dongwana is a Chartered Accountant and was until recently a partner in the audit division of Deloitte. Mrs Dongwana holds a BCom and a BCom Hons degree, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting, all from the University of Cape Town. Mrs Dongwana previously held the position of Equity Analyst with Gensec Asset Management and is a member of a number of professional associations. Mr Smith was until recently the President of SABMiller Latin America and held a number of other senior positions within SABMiller since 1984. Mr Smith has a BSc Hons in Mathematics from the University of Stellenbosch, a BSc Hons in Operations Research from the University of South Africa and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University.
