BIK - Brikor Limited - Withdrawal of interim results/Appointment of new designated adviser/Changes to the board of directors Brikor Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1998/013247/06) (JSE code: BIK ISIN: ZAE000101945) ("Brikor" or "the company") - WITHDRAWAL OF INTERIM RESULTS - APPOINTMENT OF NEW DESIGNATED ADVISER - CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 1. Withdrawal of interim results A round robin resolution of Brikor`s Board of Directors, authorising the publication of Brikor`s interim results for the six month period ended 31 August 2010 ("interim results") was not signed by all the directors over the festive season, as required by Brikor`s Articles. The publication of the interim results are accordingly hereby withdrawn. At a directors` meeting held on Friday, 21 January 2011, the interim results and the publication thereof were approved in accordance with Brikor`s Articles by the Board of Directors. It is expected that the interim results will be released shortly together with a current independent auditors` report. The financial information contained in the interim results will not differ from the previously published interim results. 2. Appointment of Designated Advisor Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on Monday, 24 January 2011 by Brikor`s previous Designated Advisor, Vunani Corporate Finance ("the Vunani announcement"), after its mandate as Designated Advisor had already been terminated and without consulting with or reporting to Brikor. Exchange Sponsors (2008) (Pty) Ltd has been appointed as the new Designated Advisor of Brikor. 3. Changes to the Board of Directors In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, notification is hereby given that Rynhardt van Rooyen and Jim H Wood have been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Directors to the Brikor Board of Directors with effect from 21 January 2011. Rynhardt is a Chartered Accountant with a BCompt Honours degree. He retired in November 2008 after 32 years service at Sasol. At retirement he was a member of the Sasol Group Executive Committee, a Director of most of the major Sasol subsidiaries and a member of their Audit Committees. He was also a trustee of the Sasol Pension Fund, and a member of the Sasol Pension Fund Audit and Investment Committees. He is currently a Director and member of the Audit Committees of Reunert Limited and Alert Steel Holdings Limited. He is also a trustee of the Sasol Pension Fund and a member of the Sasol Pension Fund Audit and Investment Committees. Jim obtained a H.N.C. certification in construction in the UK, majoring in Quantity Surveying and Estimating and endorsed with Structural Engineering. He also has completed the Programme for Management Development at Harvard University and is currently a member of the South African Institute of Builders. He was Managing Director and later Chairman of the Steeledale Group and later became Chairman of LTA Process Engineering. He also assisted Murray & Roberts with some industrial operations and performed the role of Managing Director and Chairman on the Boards of various companies in the Murray & Roberts Group. Jim also represented Murray & Robberts in the Gautrain negotiations in respect of the Bombela operational aspects and was Chairman of Bombela Operations prior to retirement.
