TMT - Trematon Capital Investments Limited - Trading Statement Trematon Capital Investments Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) Registration number 1997/008691/06 Share code: TMT ISIN: ZAE000013991 ("Trematon" or "the Company") TRADING STATEMENT Shareholders are advised that Trematon`s earnings and headline earnings per share for the six month period to 29 February 2008 will be 9.3 cents per share and 0.9 cents per share, compared to 2.8 cents per share and 1.7 cents per share for the previous comparable period, being the six months to 28 February 2007 ("the previous comparable period"). Net asset value of the company increased from 70 cents per share for the previous comparable period to 93 cents per share. Earnings per share will increase mainly as a result of a capital profit arising from a change in shareholding in an associate company, while headline earnings per share will decrease as a result of trading losses on investments which offset the effect of increased fee income for the period. The net asset value of the company increased as a result of mark-to-market gains in the value of the company`s investment portfolio. The company`s results for the six months to 29 February 2008, on which this trading statement is based, have not yet been reviewed and/or reported on by the company`s auditors. The interim results will be announced on SENS on or about Friday, 9 May 2008.
