Following the appointments of Mr Peter Woicke and Dr Mamphela Ramphele to the   
Board of Directors of MTN Group Limited ("the Board"), which were approved by   
shareholders on 13 June 2006, shareholders are hereby advised that due to       
extensive other commitments, Mr Peter Woicke and Dr Mamphela Ramphele, both     
independent non-executive directors of MTN Group Limited, have tendered their   
resignations from the Board, with effect from 18 March 2008.
