PAN - Pan African - Manica Gold Project, Mozambique - Drilling update ("Pan African" or the "Company") (Incorporated and registered in England and Wales under Companies Act 1985 with registered number 3937466 on 25 February 2000) Share code on AIM: PAF Share code on JSE: PAN ISIN: GB0004300496 Manica Gold Project, Mozambique - Drilling Update Pan African Resources PLC (AIM: PAF, AltX: PAN), the mid-tier gold mining and exploration company, is pleased to report further results from the ongoing drilling programme at the Manica gold project in Mozambique. Highlights - High grade gold intersections confirm mineralisation to depth - Extension of strike in the mineralised zone to over 800m - Pre-feasibility study on schedule for completion by end of Q1 2008 On 19 November 2007 the Company reported the results for 16 boreholes representing 2,191m of drilling. At the time the Company was awaiting the assay results of another 16 boreholes representing 1,762.54m. Assay results for 14 of these have now been received, all of which are from the Fair Bride prospect where the company is completing a pre-feasibility study. The following composite intersections are highlighted; widths reported are as intersected in the hole (the results of these boreholes have not been included in the current resource statement and a new resource will be declared once all of the planned boreholes have been drilled): 3.00m @ 8.50 g/t (drill hole Andd033, from 193.00m - 196.00m) 21.00m @ 7.84 g/t (drill hole Andd033, from 219.00m - 240.77m) 9.84m @ 2.47 g/t (drill hole Andd042, from 66.83m - 76.67m) 13.36m @ 3.18 g/t (drill hole Andd044, from 43.00m - 56.36m) 12.00m @ 6.58 g/t (drill hole Andd049, from 111.00m - 123.00m) 4.00m @ 2.12 g/t (drill hole Andd052, from 204.00m - 208.00m) 2.00m @ 5.60 g/t (drill hole Andd053, from 46.00m - 48.00m) 14.97m @ 3.10 g/t (drill hole Andd055, from 43.10m - 58.07m) 9.09m @ 4.67 g/t (drill hole Andd058, from 66.00m - 75.09m) 8.68m @ 4.68 g/t (drill hole Andd059, from 89.32m - 98.00m) 1.89m @ 7.93 g/t (drill hole Andd060, from 20.74m - 22.63m) 8.74m @ 13.34 g/t (drill hole Andd060, from 55.60m - 64.34m) 11.00m @ 3.57 g/t (drill hole Andd080, from 38.00m - 49.00m) 15.00m @ 12.36 g/t (drill hole Andd082, from 26.00m - 41.00m) To date, 8,429m out of a total of 15,600m of planned core and RC drilling has been reported on. The Company is awaiting assay results from further drill holes already completed and drilled , the results of which will be reported on as they become available. The current resource for Manica has been independently verified at 1,550Moz at 2.96 g/t. To date, metallurgical test work, plant design and cost estimation studies have been completed to pre-feasibility level. The Environmental Impact Assessment will be complete as soon as the final mining plan and revised resource statement is concluded which is still on schedule for completion by the end of Q1 2008. Jan Nelson, CEO of Pan African, commented: "The latest drill intersections are some of the highest made on the project to date, and have confirmed the mineralisation to depth. In addition, the strike extent of the mineralised envelope has been extended by another 200m to over 800m. Final geological modelling will be completed in February 2008 and a new resource statement along with the results from the pre-feasibility study will be forthcoming at the end of Q1 2008.
