PPC EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT ON WESTERN CAPE EXPANSION               
PPC has extended the deadline for public comment on its proposed Western        
Cape expansion.  Interested and affected parties will have until 17 March       
2008 to comment on the draft environmental impact report (EIR) made public      
on 21 November 2007.                                                            
In line with the company`s commitment to sustainable development, PPC           
continues to ensure that all affected communities are made fully aware of       
all aspects of the proposed expansion.
