FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                                                 
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement released on SENS on 3  
September 2007 regarding the preliminary discussions between MTN and Telkom SA  
Limited ("Telkom") concerning certain assets of Telkom ("Proposed Transaction").
Shareholders are advised that the discussions between MTN and Telkom are        
ongoing.                                                                        
Shareholders are reminded that, should the Proposed Transaction materialise, it 
may have an impact on the MTN share price.                                      
Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue exercising caution when       
dealing in MTN securities until a further announcement is made.
