CHANGES TO THE BOARD                                                            
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, HAHL        
announces that Mr MG Foster has resigned as a non-executive director and        
Chairman effective immediately.                                                 
The board of HAHL would like to thank Mr Foster for his past contribution to the
company and wish him well in his future endeavours.                             
Mr RJ Cleland, who has been a non-executive director of HAHL since 2000 and is  
chief executive of Howden Holdings Limited (based in the United Kingdom), has   
been appointed as Chairman with immediate effect.
