CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT RELATING TO BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT ("BEE")          
Shareholders are referred to the Interim Report to Shareholders for the six     
months ended 31 March 2005 in which it was advised that satisfactory progress   
had been made towards completion of the group"s BEE structure.                  
Nampak is in the process of finalising the transaction with BEE partners and    
employees at a group level.                                                     
Nampak shareholders are accordingly advised to exercise caution when trading in 
the Company"s securities until a further announcement relating to the above BEE 
transaction is published.
