Changes to the board of directors                                               
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa     
Listings Requirements, notification is given that Mr Ferhad Kahn has submitted  
his resignation from the Board of Directors with effect from 18 October 2004, in
order to fully focus on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of New Promex
Corporation (Pty) Limited.                                                      
Mr. Hishaam Ally, the company"s Group Financial Manager, has been appointed to  
replace Mr. Khan as Group Financial Director on the Board also with effect from 
18 October 2004.                                                                
Additional information                                                          
Further to the above, Dr Iqbal Surve, Sekunjalo"s chief executive officer, has  
recently been appointed to:                                                     
- the board of Siemens Telecommunications (Pty) Limited ("Sietel"), a joint     
venture between Reunert Limited and Siemens Limited;                            
- the Health Care Task Team by the Minister of Health, Dr Tshabalala-Msimang;   
and                                                                             
- the board of the National Innovation Centre for Plant BioTechnology by the    
Minister of Science and Technology, Mr Mangena.
