NAMPAK PRESS RELEASE                                                            
The Competition Commission has recommended to the Competition Tribunal that the 
acquisition by Altech of a controlling shareholding in NamITech Holdings should 
not be permitted.                                                               
Nampak is disappointed with the recommendation but points out that the parties  
to the transaction will have the opportunity to present their case at the       
hearing before the Competition Tribunal later this month.                       
Rex Tomlinson continues as CEO of NamITech and Nampak remains committed to      
NamITech as its major shareholder. "It"s business as usual for NamITech", said  
John Bortolan, CEO of Nampak Limited.
