TRADING UPDATE AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                                      
Shareholders are advised that earnings for the period ended 31 August  2003 will
be materially higher ("materially" being an increase between 10% and 30% as     
defined in the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa Listings Requirements) than 
those of the prior comparative period.                                          
Further details will be provided when PSG Group"s interim results for the period
ended 31 August 2003 are published on or about 7 October 2003.                  
As a result of the above and as the earnings estimate has not been reviewed and 
reported on by PSG Group"s auditors, shareholders are advised to exercise       
caution when dealing in PSG Group shares until the aforementioned interim       
results are published.
