RESIGNATION OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MTN GROUP LIMITED                          
In accordance with paragraph 3.67 of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa   
Listings Requirements MTN Group announces the resignation of Mr. P L Zim as an  
executive director of MTN Group with effect from 30 September 2003.             
Lazarus Zim joined MTN Group in July 2001 and is currently Managing Director:   
MTN International, responsible for the supervision of the Company"s operations  
outside of South Africa.                                                        
Group Chief Executive Officer, P F Nhleko, will assume direct responsibility for
the supervision and development of the international operations. Over the past  
year, the capacity at the MTN Group corporate centre in the key operational     
areas has been enhanced. These support functions at the corporate centre will   
continue to provide such managerial and operational support to enhance          
efficiency of the operations.                                                   
Lazarus Zim will be joining the Anglo American Corporation of South Africa as   
Deputy CEO with effect from 1 October 2003.
