In compliance with rule 3.67 of the JSE Listing Requirements, the following     
information is disclosed:                                                       
The Nampak board is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Becker as an     
alternate director of Nampak Limited, effective from 15 January 2003, with the  
title of Finance Director: Designate.  Mr. Becker was previously Group Financial
Director of Robertsons Holdings (Pty) Limited.                                  
The current Finance Director, John Sayers, will relinquish his position to Rob  
Becker on 1 January 2004, whereafter he will assume a support role and handle   
special projects for the group.
