Trading Update                                                                  
The board of directors of the Company considers it appropriate to advise        
shareholders that the Company`s consolidated headline earnings per share for the
6 month period ended 30 September 2002 are expected to be materially higher than
those for the corresponding period in the prior year.                           
It is anticipated that the interim results will be announced after close of     
business on 26 November 2002.
