Renewal of Cautionary Announcement                                              
Further to the cautionary announcements of 31 July 2002 and 19 September 2002   
relating to the potential financial exposure by MTN in respect of the           
liquidation of the CNA Group, there have been no further developments which     
would enable the Company to provide more detailed disclosure of any such        
potential exposure.                                                             
Accordingly, shareholders should exercise caution in their dealings in MTN      
shares until further announcements are made.
