Undertakings to vote in favour of the transactions entered into with            
Rand Leases Properties Limited ("Rand Leases")                                  
Further to the announcement published in the press on 11 October 2002 relating  
to the acquisition by Redefine, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Outward    
Investments (Proprietary) Limited ("Outward") of the investment property        
portfolio of Rand Leases and the specific repurchase by Rand Leases of          
14 000 000 Rand Leases linked units from Outward (collectively, the             
"transactions"), Corpcapital Corporate Finance is authorised to announce that   
unconditional irrevocable undertakings to vote at the general meeting of Rand   
Leases linked unitholders in favour of all resolutions necessary to ratify the  
conclusion and implementation of the transactions have been secured from 52,86% 
of Rand Leases linked unitholders entitled to vote at the general meeting.
