Results of general meeting and further cautionary announcement                  
At the general meeting of Petmin held on Friday 27 September 2002, the          
resolutions proposed whereby Petmin disposes of all its shares in and claims    
against Petrex (Proprietary) Limited, including its wholly owned subsidiaries,  
were approved by shareholders representing 83,62% of the votes in person or by  
proxy.                                                                          
The completion date of the transaction is still expected to be on or before 25  
October 2002, whereby the remaining suspensive conditions are expected to be    
fulfilled.                                                                      
Until the suspensive conditions have been fulfilled, shareholders are advised to
continue to exercise caution in dealing in their Petmin securities until a      
further announcement is made.
