NOTIFICATION ON TRANSNET EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
In terms of paragraph 6.39 of the JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements, the Issuer
advises Noteholders that Transnet’s Group Chief Executive (GCE) Ms Portia Derby and Group
Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) Ms Nonkululeko Dlamini, who are both Executive Directors on
the Board of Directors, will be leaving the company.
Ms Dlamini, who joined Transnet in July 2020, leaves on 29 September 2023, after serving
her notice from 1 September 2023.
Ms Derby will leave Transnet at the end of October 2023. She was appointed to the role in
February 2020.
The Board has appointed Ms Michelle Phillips, Chief Executive of Transnet Pipelines, as acting
GCE with effect from 1 November 2023 while a recruitment process for a permanent GCE is
underway. Ms Hlengiwe Makhathini has been appointed to act as interim GCFO. Both
candidates were considered and recommended by the Board as suitable to step into these
respective roles in an interim capacity.
Both Ms Derby and Ms Dlamini will be available to assist with the necessary handover
processes as required.
The Transnet Board of Directors wishes to thank both executive directors for their contribution
to the company, and wishes them great success in their future endeavours.
