PLANNED DELAY IN THE RELEASE OF FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED
30 June 2020

The Minister of Finance has issued an exemption in terms of section 171(1)(b) of the MFMA, “Gazette”
that extends Audited Financial Statements (AFS) submission and approval timelines by two (2) months.

The issuer wishes to advise that same exemption notice will be utilized, that is, the two-months
extension period afforded by the Ministerial Exemption. The City’s audited financial results for the year
ended 30 June 2020 (“annual results”) are expected to be released by no later than end of March 2021.
