TRANSNET WELCOMES THE GOVERNMENT CAPITAL ALLOCATION OF R5,8
BILLION


Noteholders are advised that the Minister of Finance in the Medium Term Budget Policy
Statement address on 26 October 2022, announced a R5.8 billion capital allocation to support
Transnet in dealing with the unexpected and unforeseen expenditure as a result of the KZN
floods in April 2022. The balance of the funding will go towards the rehabilitation of rolling stock
including funding for the return to service of long-standing locomotives.

Transnet has welcomed the support from Government.
