1. The Board of ABIL has been made aware of an unsolicited offer made to selected ABIL
preference shareholders by the above company.
2. The Board of ABIL would like to confirm that this offer does not in any way relate to the
resolution plan referred to in the Press Release, related to African Bank Limited, issued by SARB
on 10 August 2014, and referred to in the SENS announcement issued on 11 August 2014, or any
further announcements related to this.
3. The Board of ABIL would like to confirm that the entity making the offer is in no way authorised
by or instructed to act on behalf of ABIL.
4. Should shareholders receive any communication or offer in relation to ABIL securities and they
are in any doubt as to whether it is related to the resolution plan, they are invited to contact
