CLARIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Shareholders are referred to the announcement titled “Share Consolidation
(Late Announcement)”, which was published on the JSE Limited’s (“JSE”) Stock Exchange News
Service (“SENS”) earlier today (“ResGen Announcement”).

The Announcement, which relates to a different company, Resource Generation Limited
(“ResGen”), and not to Renergen, was incorrectly disseminated by the JSE under Renergen’s
share code. Neither Renergen, nor its Designated Advisor, was involved in the erroneous
dissemination of the ResGen Announcement.

While the ResGen Announcement was subsequently cancelled by the JSE, it remains visible on
Renergen’s SENS feed. In light of the above, shareholders should kindly disregard the ResGen
Announcement.
