DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE DIVIDEND NUMBER 21
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, 03 October 2016, Netcare declared a preference
dividend (Number 21) of 434.31164 cents (gross) per preference share for the period from 1
April 2016 to 30 September 2016, payable on Monday, 31 October 2016 to holders of the
preference shares recorded in the books of the Company at close of business on Friday, 28
October 2016. The preference dividend has been declared out of income reserves.
Last date to trade “cum” the preference dividend (“LDT”) : Tuesday, 25 October 2016
Date trading commences “ex” the preference dividend : Wednesday, 26 October 2016
Record date : Friday, 28 October 2016
Date of payment : Monday, 31 October 2016
Preference share certificates may not be dematerialised nor rematerialised between
Wednesday, 26 October 2016 and Friday, 28 October 2016, both dates inclusive.
In terms of the Dividends Tax, the following additional information is disclosed:
1. The local Dividend Tax rate is 15%;
2. The net local dividend amount is 369.16489 cents per preference share for shareholders
liable to pay the Dividends Tax and 434.31164 cents per preference share for
shareholders exempt from paying the Dividends Tax;
3. The issued preference share capital of Netcare is 6 500 000 preference shares as at
the date of declaration; and
4. Netcare’s tax reference number is 9999/581/71/4.
