NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF INTERIM FINANCIAL STATEMENTS


Umgeni Water hereby notifies its debt investors that it has publicly released its interim financial
statements for the six months ended 31 December 2022.

The interim financial statements are available on the Umgeni Water website at
https://www.umgeni.co.za/interim-financial-results/ and for inspection at Umgeni Water’s registered
office at 310 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg, 3201, South Africa.

Restatements

The restatements in the interim financial statements for the six months ended 31 December 2022 is
as a result of the to the financial results for the year ended 30 June 2021 (“prior period”) being
restated as detailed in the annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2022, where
supplier invoices previously accrued for in the prior period, which were subsequently disputed for
payment in 2022 financial year, which has now resulted in the contingent liabilities and accruals for
the prior period requiring a correction.
