TRADING STATEMENT


In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a listed
company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain
that the financial results for the next period to be reported on will differ by more than 20% from
the financial results for the previous corresponding period.

The Wesizwe board of directors therefore wishes to advise shareholders that a reasonable
degree of certainty exists that, for the financial year ended 31 December 2022, the Company
will report:

-   a loss per share of between 8.09 cents and 8.39 cents, representing an increase in loss
    per share of between 6.58 cents and 6.88 cents compared to the loss per share of
    1.51 cents reported for the previous comparable period, being the financial year ended
    31 December 2021; and

-   a headline loss per share of between 8.09 cents and 8.39 cents, representing an increase
    in headline loss per share of between 6.61 cents and 6.91 cents compared to the headline
    loss per share of 1.48 cents reported for the previous comparable period, being the
    financial year ended 31 December 2021.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and
reported on by the Company’s external auditors.

The Company’s provisional results for the financial year ended 31 December 2022 are
expected to be published on or about 31 March 2023.
